Women’s Be a Monk Challenge

Women’s Be a Monk Challenge

By Samantha Stocker-Harding:

“We have reached the end of our Women’s Be a Monk marathon, and what a success it was! The amount of incredible feedback we have received has been heartwarming. The interest in these courses has since increased with floods of applications coming in. Therefore we have decided to host two more ‘challenges’ this year!

“This incredible service has been such a beautiful journey to embark on. I feel so honoured to get the opportunity to connect with so many incredible women and help support them on their spiritual journeys. It has been amazing to watch these inquisitive women connect deeper with Krishna. Exploring philosophical teachings some have never heard before and drinking it all up like the sweet nectar it is!

“Despite the early mornings and jam-packed days, I never heard anyone complain.  It is always a joy to see people at the beginning of their journey and watch how much they can transform in just a week. As an observer, I could always see how Krishna’s mercy was woven throughout their experience.

“It was lovely to see these women build some incredible friendships with one another. To hear that some of them even went on to create their own Sanga groups – – is a true success in my eyes. With the timetable being carefully crafted to offer the full temple experience, it is no wonder these ladies were eager to return. Each day was such an adventure, spiritually, physically, and philosophically!

“We wish them all the best with the new chapter In their lives and we look forward to welcoming new women to these courses.

I would like to say thank you to everyone at Bhaktivedanta Manor for making this program possible!”
