As many devotees and well-wishers already know, this year marks Bhaktivedanta Manor’s 50th anniversary (1973 – 2023).
In February 1973 deeds were signed, beginning the process of George Harrison’s extremely generous donation to Srila Prabhupada’s ISKCON. A few months later, the devotees moved into the Manor and converted it into a temple and ashram. In May that year, Srila Prabhupada himself moved into his rooms upstairs in the main building (now affectionately called “Prabhupada’s Rooms“). Then, on 21st August 1973, on Janmashtami day, Srila Prabhupada personally installed Sri Sri Radha Gokulananda!
