On Sunday 13th October, Bhaktivedanta Manor staged a special Dusshera festival.
The festival of Dusshera pays tribute to an epic battle between good and evil, resulting in deity Lord Rama’s victory over 10-headed demon king Ravana. It teaches us that light always has the power to vanquish darkness, no matter how dire the circumstances may seem. As the audiences watches an effigy of Ravana burst into flames, it is a reminder that even amidst life’s challenges and fears, there’s always hope and victory.
Thanks to Ramji, Murji, Gopalji, Navin and Subhash prabhu for building Ravana in record time, despite the bad weather. –
The Festival Committee was excited to launch a trial park and ride system, from Haberdashes School in Aldenham, with a coach service between there and the festival site.
Including the shuttle service between Stanmore and Watford Junction Stations, altogether 1000 guests using these traffic-reducing services.
