Course Description

Welcome to Back to Farm Kids, a fun and educational three-part series that will introduce children to the joys of farming, while teaching them valuable life lessons rooted in the principles of compassion and non-violence from the Bhagavad Gita.

Each session is designed for children, combining practical farming skills with spiritual teachings to nurture both the body and the soul.

Session 1: Preparing the Land Kids will get their hands dirty as they learn the art of tilling the soil. This vital step prepares the earth for new growth, teaching children the importance of care, patience, and responsibility when working with nature. They’ll understand how to respect the land and its cycles, embodying the spirit of non-violence as they gently prepare the earth for planting.

Session 2: Sowing the Seeds In the second session, children will plant seeds and learn how to create a nurturing environment for crops to grow. They’ll discover how to choose the right plants, water them properly, and protect them, reflecting the teachings of the Gita on care and stewardship of life. This session encourages kids to see the seeds they plant as living beings deserving of kindness and attention.

Session 3: Harvesting with Gratitude The final session is a celebration of the harvest! Children will gather the fruits and vegetables they’ve helped grow, learning the joy of reaping what they have sown. These harvests will be offered in a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony to God, symbolizing gratitude and devotion. This act teaches the children to honor the earth and all that it provides with respect and reverence, embracing the spirit of compassion and giving.
