About Govinda Krishna Das
Govind Krsna Das, popularly known as GKD, based in Kurukshetra, the land of Mahabharata, Haryana is a motivational speaker, spiritual educator, travel blogger and most importantly a well renowned singer. GKD was born in Kurukshetra, Haryana in a Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Vaishnava household to Father HG Shakshi Gopal Das (Temple President of Iskcon Kurukshetra) and Mother HG Bhagwati Devi Dasi. He has been actively involved in devotional services since age 5. He received his primary education from ISKCON Gurukul Vrindavan after spending 8 years of intense studying of Vedic scriptures. Later on he completed B.Com followed by MBA from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA and he also holds a Bhakti Shastri and Bhakti Vaibhav from VIHE, Vrindavan. In 2013 after receiving the instructions from his spiritual master (HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj), he left his career and has taken the full time service of preaching and since then he has made a tremendous contribution with his soulful Kirtans! Govind Krsna Das endeavours to bridge ancient Bhakti yoga traditions with the contemporary world, using the universal language of music. His mesmerizing performances, featuring soulful chants and captivating melodies, transport audiences to realms of transcendence and spiritual bliss..
