Course Description

Caitanya Caritamrita Compact Online: An 8-Week Journey into the Life & Teachings of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu

The Caitanya Caritamrita is a beautiful and powerful biography of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the 16th-century saint who spread the message of divine love (prema-bhakti). Written by Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami, this sacred text is filled with stories, philosophy, and wisdom, giving us a glimpse into the life and teachings of Mahaprabhu and His mission to share Krishna consciousness with the world.

Srila Prabhupada described Caitanya Caritamrita as the “nectarine of life”, finding great strength in its pages during difficult times. Yet, compared to the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam, it remains less explored. This course is designed to make it easy to understand, helping you connect with Mahaprabhu’s journey and message in a practical and relatable way.

What You’ll Learn:

Across eight weekly sessions, we’ll explore:

  • Sri Caitanya’s Life & Mission – From His childhood to His deep devotion and worldwide influence.
  • His Key Teachings – Learnings from His interactions with great scholars and spiritual seekers.
  • How to Read the Caitanya Caritamrita – A simple guide to understanding the structure and themes of the book.
  • The Role of the Six Goswamis – How Mahaprabhu’s closest followers shaped the path of bhakti-yoga.
  • Applying His Teachings Today – Practical ways to bring His mood of devotion into daily life.

Why Join?

  • Simple & Structured – A clear and organised way to understand this incredible scripture.
  • Engaging & Practical – Learn how Mahaprabhu’s life and teachings apply to us today.
  • Supportive Community – Connect with others on the same journey and continue learning together.

This is a chance to dive into one of the most profound spiritual texts, understand Mahaprabhu’s mission, and strengthen your connection with Krishna consciousness.

Teacher Profile

Born and raised in London, Karan developed a deep interest in spirituality from a young age. At 14, he first encountered the Bhagavad Gita, a moment that sparked a lifelong curiosity about the nature of consciousness and the purpose of life. He went on to study Mathematics at Loughborough University, where his passion for spirituality grew alongside his academic pursuits.

After graduating, Karan worked in accounts but felt a calling to pursue a more meaningful life. Choosing to follow this inner guidance, he left his career behind to become a full-time monk. Now, Karan dedicates his life to sharing spiritual wisdom with others. Whether speaking at universities, engaging with people through book distribution, or leading residential courses like the Be a Monk Challenge, he continues to inspire others to explore the deeper dimensions of life and spirituality.

Please note that a foundational understanding of Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam is recommended before undertaking this course.
