On a sunny July weekend, devotees and well-wishers based in the Bournemouth area held an unique event in the area. Godruma das of Bhaktivedanta Manor was invited to host the occasion, which had over 100 participants. He brought along Jaya Krishna das, Rama Rupa das and Narayan das.

After Narayan das lead a melodious kirtan, Jaya Krishna das and Godruma das performed a hilarious skit with a deep meaning, called Boatman and the Scholar.

A bhajan then followed, sung Govinda das with a dramatic purport. The grand finale included a rip-roaring kirtan led by Rama Rupa das, with everyone dancing and chanting Hare Krishna!

All who attended really enjoyed the atmosphere, which was concluded with delicious prasad.

One local person commented “I was lying a sunny beach deciding whether I should attend the Hare Krishna program, or enjoy the lovely weather. But attending was the best choice I made! I felt my soul been uplifted!”.
