Bhagavad-gita As It Is to be used for Parliamentary Oath

On behalf of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Nila Madhava das officially presented “Bhagavad Gita As It Is” to the Speaker of the House of Commons Rt. Hon. Sir Linsey Hoyle MP and the Rt. Hon. Shailesh Vara MP on Friday 24th May 2024.

This copy of the Bhagavad-Gita, with translations and purports by Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, will now be used in the House of Commons for when Hindu MPs swear in and take a Parliamentary Oath, following their election.

“…It is with great honour and privilege that I present this special copy of the Bhagavad Gita , which has been duly blessed at the headquarters of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness in Mayapur, India,” explained Nila Madhava das. “We humbly pray that the Bhagavad Gita is utilised in the House of Commons by Hindu Members of Parliament and alike perpetually”.
