Monks of Bhaktivedanta Manor, together with some community members, embarked on a special mission to Kenya, East Africa.
Based around the ISKCON temple in Nairobi, they distributed Srila Prabhupada’s books, lectured, sang and performed dramas at Universities, youth hostels and homes.
Their hari nāma chanting and bhajans in the streets drew favourable attention from locals, many of whom were interested to learn more about Krishna.
The adventures of the team also included Mombasa and Tika Farm, which supplies fruit and vegetables to the ISKCON Nairobi temple.
If all that were not enough, the Manor monastics even went on a safari to see wild lions, zebras, elephants and mischievous baboons!
